What this report does
Lists all equipment records added to components via the Component Equipment module during the selected date range. Each row represents a piece of equipment installed on a component — showing the installation date, why it was installed, who installed it, and the equipment details including model, manufacturer, Low-E designation, packing, stem type, gasket type, and MOC reference.
Use this report to audit equipment installations, verify that Low-E models and packing are correctly recorded, and confirm MOC references for equipment changes. This report is available directly on the Reports tab.
When to use it
- Reviewing all equipment installed during a compliance period or audit window.
- Verifying that newly installed Low-E components have the correct model and packing recorded.
- Confirming MOC references on equipment change records.
- Filtering installations to a specific model or packing type.

What's included and excluded
Included:
- Only equipment records with a DateInstalled within the selected date range.
- Only components of the selected type(s) mapped to the selected regulation(s).
- Only components in the selected unit(s).
- When specific models are selected: only records matching the selected standard model or Low-E model.
- When specific Low-E packing is selected: only records matching the selected packing type.
Excluded:
- Components not mapped to the selected regulation(s).
- Equipment records with DateInstalled outside the date range.
- Component types not selected.
How key values are calculated
Date Installed
The date the equipment record was created in the Component Equipment module, converted to the component's local time zone.
Model and Low-E
The Model column shows the Low-E model description if one is assigned; if not, it falls back to the standard equipment model description. The Low-E column shows "Yes" when a Low-E model is assigned and "No" otherwise. A component can have both a standard model and Low-E model — Low-E takes precedence in the Model column.
Most recent record per component
When a component has multiple equipment records installed during the window, only the most recently installed one is returned. Each component produces at most one row.
Tips and common questions
- "I see a component I expected but its Model column is blank." The equipment record was installed without a model selected. Use the Component Equipment section of the tag view to review and update the record.
- "Low-E shows 'No' but I know this is a Low-E valve." The Low-E designation comes from the equipment record — specifically whether a Low-E Model was selected in the Component Equipment module. If the standard model was used instead of the Low-E model, Low-E will show "No" even for valves that are physically Low-E.
- "Stem Type and Gasket Type are blank for most rows." These fields are only populated for valves where stem and gasket information was entered in the Component Equipment module. They are optional fields.
- "Why does selecting 'All Models' and 'All Packing' show all records?" The Models and Low-E Packing parameters are filters that narrow to specific equipment types. Selecting "All Models" / "All Models" for both shows every installed equipment record regardless of model or packing.
- "I have multiple equipment records for the same component but only one row appears." The report shows only the most recent installation within the date window per component. If earlier records are needed, review the Component Equipment history on the tag view.
- "Only one equipment record appears per component even though multiple were installed in the date range." This report shows only the most recently installed equipment record per component within the selected date range. Earlier installations for the same component are not shown. For a full installation history, review the component's equipment tab in Chateau.
- "The InstalledBy column shows a long alphanumeric code instead of a name for some records." Older equipment records may have a system identifier stored in the InstalledBy field rather than a technician name. This is a data quality issue with historical records. Newer records entered through the standard Chateau workflow will display the technician's name.
Sample output
Report run for Example Facility, StartDate: 9/1/2024, EndDate: 9/30/2024, Regulations: Regulation 1, Unit Type: Location Unit, Models: All, Low-E Packing: All, Units: Demo-1, Demo-2, Comp Type: Valve.
What the rows illustrate:
Tag 000200 (Demo 1) — Low-E Packing without a Low-E Model: Low-E = No and Model is blank, yet Low-E Packing = "Low-E Pack 3" and MOC Ref = "124ABC_PACK" are populated. This illustrates that Low-E Packing can be recorded independently of a Low-E Model — the two fields are separate, and a component can have packing data without a qualifying Low-E model assigned. Install Why = "Replacement In Kind."
Tag 000002 (Demo 2) — Full Low-E record with stem and gasket: Low-E = Yes, Model = Model 1, Serial Number = 123ABD, MOC Ref = 123-ABD-REF, Stem Type = Rising, Gasket Type = Gasket 1. This is the most complete record in the sample, with all optional valve-specific fields populated. Install Why = "Added To Existing Unit."
Tag 000001 (Demo 2) — Low-E Packing without a Low-E Model (second example): Like tag 000200, Low-E = No and Model is blank, but Low-E Packing = "Low-E Pack 1" is recorded. Stem Type and Gasket Type are blank. Install Why = "New Component."
Tag 000008 (Demo 2) — Low-E Model and Packing both populated: Low-E = Yes, Model = Model 2, Low-E Packing = "Low-E Pack 1", MOC Ref = 123ABF-REF. Stem Type and Gasket Type are blank, showing that a complete Low-E designation does not require stem and gasket data. Install Why = "New Component."
Output format
One row per component (most recently installed equipment within the window). Suitable for on-screen viewing, PDF, and Excel export.
