What this report does
Lists all Coordinator and Technician signoff records for the selected date range, showing the date and time each signature was captured, the signoff type, the person who signed, and the rendered signature image.
Signoffs are captured in Chateau when coordinators and technicians certify their work for a period — a common requirement under Consent Decree programs and similar regulatory obligations. Use this report to produce a printable record of signoff activity for audits, inspections, or documentation submissions. This report is available directly on the Reports tab.
When to use it
- Producing a signoff record for a Consent Decree audit or regulatory inspection.
- Confirming that all required technician and coordinator signoffs were captured during a period.
- Archiving signature records for a compliance submission.

What's included and excluded
Included:
- Technician Signoff records within the date range.
- Coordinator Signoff records within the date range.
Excluded:
- Other document types (non-signoff records).
- Signoffs outside the selected date range.
How key values are calculated
Signature timestamp
Each signature record captures the date and time the signature was submitted. Times are stored in UTC and displayed in the facility's local timezone.
Signoff type
The report distinguishes between Technician and Coordinator signoffs based on the role of the user who submitted the signature.
Tips and common questions
- "The Signature column appears blank when I export to Excel." Signature images do not render in Excel exports. Use PDF format to preserve the signature images.
- "I only see Technician Signoffs — where are the Coordinator Signoffs?" Both types are included in the same report. If Coordinator Signoffs are absent, no coordinator signoffs were recorded during the period. Confirm with your coordinator that signoffs were entered.
- "The date shown is different from what I expected." Dates are displayed in the facility's local time zone. If your facility spans multiple time zones, dates may appear shifted relative to the UTC entry time.
- "The report comes back empty." No signoff records were captured during the selected date range. Confirm with your coordinator and technicians that signoffs were entered in Chateau for the period.
- "A technician's signoff shows the wrong date or is off by a day." Signoff timestamps are recorded in the facility's primary timezone, not the timezone of the individual location unit. For facilities that span multiple time zones, a signoff recorded late in the evening in one time zone may display as the following day when converted to the facility's primary timezone. If date accuracy is critical, verify the timestamp against the timezone of the location where the signoff was recorded.
Sample output
Report run for Example Facility, StartDate: 8/1/2024, EndDate: 8/1/2024.
What the rows illustrate:
All rows — Technician Signoff only: All nine records in the sample are Technician Signoffs. No Coordinator Signoffs appear, illustrating that the two types are not always present in equal numbers — Coordinator Signoffs will be absent if none were recorded during the period.
Two technicians alternating across consecutive days: George Smith and Thomas Jones account for all nine records, with Thomas Jones signing on most days (7/2–7/6, 7/9) and George Smith signing on the others (7/1, 7/7, 7/8). The daily cadence illustrates that technicians typically submit a signoff at the end of each working day.
Consistent timestamp across all rows: Every record shows a time of 4:37:27 PM, suggesting the signoffs were batch-entered or submitted at a consistent end-of-shift time rather than captured at varying points during the day.
Signature images rendered: Each row shows a rendered cursive signature in the Signature column, confirming that signature images are preserved in PDF export. This column would be blank in an Excel export.
Date range mismatch between header and data: The report header shows StartDate: 8/1/2024 and EndDate: 8/1/2024, but the data rows span 7/1/2024 through 7/9/2024. This illustrates the timezone conversion behavior noted in the article — signoff timestamps are stored in UTC and displayed in the facility's local timezone, which can cause dates to appear different from what was entered in the date parameters.
Output format
One row per signoff record, ordered by date. Suitable for on-screen viewing and PDF export. Signature images are best preserved in PDF format.
