How to Add Repair Attempts

If you wish to manually add a repair attempt to an existing leak:

  1. Go to the Leaks tab.

  2. Select the leak you wish to add the attempt to.

  3. Click View Leak. It is one of the action buttons above the Leaks grid.

  4. In top of the Individual Leak View page, click Add Attempt. It is one of the blue action buttons.

  5. Fill out the fields in the new attempt page. Ensure the Date Performed value is after the date and time of the leak opening and before the leak closing. Click Save.

Note: See here for the different types of attempts.

Alternatively, you can:

  1. Go to the Inspections & Attempts tab.

  2. Go to the Attempts subtab.

  3. Click the New Attempt blue action button.

  4. Fill out the fields in the new attempt page and click Save.

    • Note: If you are adding a repair attempt to a component with an open or closed leak or DOR, Chateau will associate the attempt with the leak or DOR if the repair attempt has a date performed after the leak or DOR open date, and before the leak or DOR close date if the leak or DOR was closed.

For facilities allowing monitoring technicians to perform simple maintenance attempts after leaks are detected in the field:

  1. Ensure Enable Simple Maintenance is toggled on under Settings > Miscellaneous.

  2. In Chateau Mobile, after the leak is detected, follow the prompts to take a leak photo (or not) and select the leaking point.

  3. Confirm you want to perform simple maintenance and complete the simple maintenance checklist (if the simple maintenance checklist was turned on).

  4. You can only proceed to record the simple maintenance if you answered the question correctly.

  5. Fill out the fields in the page, who performed the attempt is an editable field, and click Save or Save and Retest.

To record a repair attempt on a leaking component without first recording an inspection in Chateau Mobile:

  1. Ensure Enable Simple Maintenance is toggled on under Settings > Miscellaneous.

  2. In Chateau Mobile, open Quick View or Full Details for the leaking component.

  3. Tap the 3-dot action menu on the top-right and tap Repair Attempt.

  4. Complete the simple maintenance checklist (if the simple maintenance checklist was turned on).

  5. Fill out the fields in the page (who performed the attempt is an editable field) and click Save or Save and Retest.
