To manually add a repair attempt to an existing leak:
- Go to the Leaks tab.
- Choose the leak to which you want to add the attempt.
- Click View Leak.
- Click Add Attempt.
- Click on the calendar icon in the Performed On field to enter the date and time of the repair.
- The Attempted By field should be completed with the name of the person who carried out the repair.
- Choose an Attempt Type. This will determine your options in the Attempt How dropdown.
- Select an Attempt How. If the repair you require isn’t listed, consider altering the Attempt Type.
- Option to add documents and comments.
- Click Save to finish.
Reminder: Ensure repair dates and times are between the initial leak date and time, and the passing or retest date and time.

Alternatively, you can add the repair attempt from the Inspections & Repairs tab:
- Go to the Inspections & Attempts tab.
- Go to the Attempts subtab.
- Click New Attempt.
- Choose the correct Facility from the dropdown.
- Choose the correct Plant from the dropdown.
- Choose the correct LUnit from the dropdown.
- Enter the Tag number for the component you’re repairing. It should appear in the dropdown menu for you to select.
- Click on the calendar icon in the Performed On field to enter the date and time of the repair.
- The Attempted By field should be completed with the name of the person who carried out the repair.
- Select an Attempt Type. This will determine your options in the Attempt How dropdown.
- Select an Attempt How. If the repair you require isn’t listed, consider altering the Attempt Type.
- Click Save to finish.
Reminder: Please note that when adding a repair attempt to a component with an open or closed leak, or DOR, Chateau will link the attempt to the leak or DOR. This association occurs if the repair attempt’s date is after the leak or DOR’s opening date and before the closing date, should the leak or DOR be closed.
