Chateau Release Notes – Fixes & Improvements
Leaks
• Fixed unreadable codes in the Leak Alerts frequency dropdown. The Frequency dropdown on Leak Alerts showed internal codes like "2FromDue" and "Each" instead of readable text; it now shows phrases such as "Within 2 days of Due Date" and "Each day a Leak Occurs." The "Did Not Monitor Why" reasons were fixed the same way — on both web and mobile, options that appeared as terse codes such as "CNL," "MisLab," and "Weath" now read "Could Not Locate," "Mislabeled," and "Weather."
• All Leaks grid added to the Leaks section. The Closed Leaks grid has been replaced with an All Leaks grid that lists every leak — open and closed — in one place, with an Open/Closed status column you can filter on. This gives you a single view of a tag's full leak history. The same change applies to the Leaks tab on a component's detail screen; the separate Open Leaks grid is unchanged.
• Fixed scheduled Leak Alerts that never sent when filtered by Location or Process Unit. A Leak Alert saved with a Location Unit or Process Unit filter silently failed on every scheduled run — no email went out and no error was shown; these alerts now send correctly.
Emissions
• Fixed emissions calculations getting stuck on Processing. An emissions calculation could hang on "Processing" indefinitely if the server restarted while it was running; runs now resume and finish on their own.
Inspections
• New warning when deleting an inspection tied to a leak. When you delete an inspection that is involved in one or more leaks, the delete dialog now lists them first — grouped as "Opened by this inspection" or "Occurred during this leak," each linking to the leak — so you can see the impact before you confirm. If the inspection opened a leak, the dialog warns that deleting it will also permanently remove that leak record.
Porches
• Fixed cleared fields still showing on the New Component Porch. When you cleared an optional property — such as Process Section, Permit Group, EP Number, or Process Unit — on an unapproved component, the change saved correctly but the New Component Porch grid kept showing the old value.
• New Profile column on the Did Not Monitor Components porch. The Did Not Monitor Components Owner's Porch now shows each component's Profile (for example Active, Deactivated, or TUPurged) in a new column between Subtype and Size.
Tours & Scheduling
• New Built By column on tours. The Current Tours grid (just after Date Built) and the Tour Details header (just after Due Date) now show who built each tour, no matter which screen it was built from. Tours created automatically by Auto Tours show "Auto Tours."
• Fixed the Tech Assigned dropdown on the Tour Details screen. Typing in the dropdown only jumped to names starting with those letters; it now narrows to technicians whose name contains what you type, and the list is sorted alphabetically.
Dashboard
• Fixed the "TU items past return date" dashboard link opening an empty list. Clicking "TU items past return date" on the Operations Dashboard opened the TUx Log with a blank grid instead of the items; it now opens filtered to the past-due items.
Components
• Automatic trimming of extra spaces on component fields. When you save a component add, single-edit, or multi-edit, Chateau now removes leading and trailing spaces from text fields automatically, which prevents accidental duplicate tags and mismatches caused by a stray space. Existing component values were also cleaned up once as part of this update.
• Tag search now returns only approved components. Searching by tag now excludes suggested and rejected components, so results only include components that are approved and in use.
• Fixed a crash when using Add Inspection with multiple Components tabs open. Opening a second Components grid with + New Grid and then using the Add Inspection dropdown crashed your whole session; it now works with multiple grid tabs open.
Resources
• Manual daily calibration and drift entry. You can now add and edit daily calibrations and their Noon and End-of-Day drifts directly in Chateau. Previously, they could only be imported from a SpanBox or created in Chateau Mobile. Records you enter manually are clearly marked and stay editable, while records that came from a SpanBox stay locked.
• Editable precision calibrations. You can now edit a manually entered precision calibration in Chateau. Records you enter manually are clearly marked and stay editable, while records that came from a SpanBox stay locked.
• See calibration pass/fail without scrolling the grid. In the Daily Calibrations and Precision Calibrations grids, each session now shows its result right in the session heading, instead of only in columns you had to scroll across the grid to reach. Daily sessions show the Pass, Fail, or Pending status of the daily calibration and its Noon and End-of-Day drifts; precision sessions show a single Passed or Failed. A Source column shows whether each record came from a SpanBox or was entered manually, and the grids stay grouped by analyzer and date.
• Fixed the Plant not updating when an LUnit is reassigned. When an LUnit was moved to a different Plant in Resources → LUnits, components on that LUnit kept showing the old Plant on Component Details; they now update.
• Fixed a crash when searching Streams by Chemical. On the Resources → Streams page, switching the search to "Chemical" and typing crashed the page whenever any stream had no chemicals assigned; the search now runs safely.
Reports
• Fixed report text wrapping mid-word. After a recent visual update, some DOR report column headers and cell values broke in the middle of a word, making reports hard to read; text now wraps between whole words.
• Fixed duplicated rows on the Deactivated and Reactivated Components reports. When a component was activated and deactivated within seconds of each other in the same batch, the Deactivated and Reactivated Components reports could list it twice, sometimes crediting the wrong person; each now shows a single, correctly credited row.
• Faster CVS/NDE Inspection History report on large facilities. On facilities with very large amounts of data, the report could run so slowly that it timed out and never opened; it now runs reliably even on the largest data sets.
• Fixed missing historical surveys on the OOOOa Fugitives Survey Report. OGI inspections that were imported from historical data were left off the report; they are now included (those older imported records won't show camera or ambient details, which weren't captured at the time).
• New Facility and Plant filters on the Inspection History report. The Inspection History report now has Facility and Plant parameters, each defaulting to all. Selecting a Facility narrows the list of Plants, and the selected Plants narrow the list of Units. The chosen Facility and Plant are listed in the report header alongside the other filters.
• Fixed undercounted Activated/Deactivated totals on the Periodic Inspection Summary report. The report's Activated and Deactivated numbers could come out lower than the true count, and a row could be left off the report entirely. The Activated count only recognized components that were Active at the end of the period, so a component that was activated during the period but then set to a TUPurged or TUinService profile before the period ended was missed. The Deactivated count had the mirror-image gap — components set to TUPurged or TUinService at the start of the period that were then deactivated. The report now counts these components, so the totals and the component list are complete.
• Fixed the New DOR count on the Periodic Inspection Summary report. A DOR opened during the reporting period whose leak began in a prior month was left out of the New DOR count, even though the same DOR was still counted in the End DOR count; the New DOR count is now accurate.
Settings
• New Quality Signals settings in Settings. A new Quality Signals area under Settings puts the configuration behind LSTAR, pace, time-on-tools, inspection quality, and the technician scorecard in one place — settings that were previously either fixed in the system or only adjustable by LDARtools support. It has five tabs: Workday Schedule (the workday, payroll, and LSTAR time windows), Pace Targets (minimum and maximum inspections per day by work type), Breaks & Effort (break and lunch limits and how breaks are scored), Inspection Quality (final-monitoring-time and missing-GPS thresholds), and Scorecard Thresholds (turn each scorecard signal on or off and tune how sensitive it is, with a "Reset to recommended" option). You can now review and adjust all of these yourself.
• New Activity Log for Settings changes. The Settings page has a new read-only Activity Log tab that records every Settings change — who made it, when, which area it was in, and the old and new values — newest first, with filters for area, user, and date range. Previously a Settings change simply overwrote the prior value with no record of what changed.
API
• New public API for cooling tower inspections. Customers using the public API can now pull cooling tower inspections directly — a list, the details for a single inspection (including GPS and comments), and the individual meter/element readings — which the general inspections API does not return.
OGI
• Fixed the target image not appearing after "Approve & Make Target Image." In OGI Picture Audit, promoting a field image to the component's target image didn't refresh the Target Image panel on screen — for a component with no previous target image it kept showing "No Image" until you reloaded the grid; it now updates immediately.
• Fixed OGI Picture Audit crashing on backend errors. When the OGI image service returned an error, using Search or the Approve/Reject buttons in Picture Audit crashed the entire tab (replacing it with the "this tab has crashed" screen); it now shows a message you can retry from instead.
General
• Database name now shown in the browser tab. When you're signed into a database, the browser tab title shows the database name (for example, "LT-LDAR-TX - Chateau"), making it easy to tell several open tabs apart. Unscoped pages such as the login and landing screens still read simply "Chateau."
• General bug fixes and stability improvements.
Chateau Mobile
Inspections
• Fixed OGI surveys accepting an invalid humidity. The OGI survey conditions screen let you save a Relative Humidity below 0% or above 100%, and that impossible value would then sync to Chateau; the screen now requires a value between 0 and 100 before you can save.
• Editable Flow Rate on OGI sensitivity checks. On the mobile OGI sensitivity-check screen, Flow Rate still fills in automatically from the temperature and pressure you enter, but you can now type your own value to override it. Editing temperature or pressure again recalculates it, and leaving the field blank falls back to the calculated value. This matches how Flow Rate already works on the web.
• See and manage repair attempts in the mobile History tab. The Component Details History tab now shows repair attempts alongside inspections in one combined timeline, newest first, including who performed each attempt. You can add and edit comments on both inspections and attempts, and delete an attempt (with a typed reason) right on the device — previously an attempt could only be removed by checking in and deleting it from the web.
Sync
• Fixed orphaned check-outs lingering in Mobile Sync Status. On a flaky connection, a device could open a second check-out session moments after the first. The device only ever used one of them, so the extra session sat in the Mobile Sync Status grid showing as checked-out but never checked-in — even though it never held any of the technician's data, which checked in normally on the session the device actually used. Chateau now clears these empty duplicate sessions automatically.
• Fixed check-in errors after changing the Upload API / Pre-compress setting. Turning off "Pre-compress database" in the mobile Settings could make a database check-in fail and retry repeatedly. The retries always went through in the end, so no data was lost — but check-in shouldn't have failed at all, and it now works the first time in every position of that setting.
• Fixed check-in failures caused by a deleted M21 variance option. If a facility deleted the "None" M21 Variance option, a technician's M21 inspection could fail to sync and stop the whole database's inspections from checking in; sync now handles a missing variance safely.
Add via Photo
• Sub-tag and base-tag improvements for Add via Photo. When adding components with Add via Photo, sub-component tags now use a three-digit suffix (for example .001 to .999) so they line up and sort correctly, and you can drop a plain base tag without switching Sub-Tag Logic off and back on. Picker fields such as Subtype and Location Description now show their configured labels instead of internal names. Tags you've already saved are not changed.
General
• Fixed "Report an Issue" showing the database as unknown. On Chateau Mobile, Report an Issue labeled the database as "unknown" whenever you had a database selected but weren't checked out; it now records the selected database.
