Analyzer Peg Value
The Analyzer Peg Value is a critical setting for ensuring accuracy in Chateau’s built-in emission reports. The peg value you set for each analyzer determines which peg factor will be used for inspections monitored with that analyzer if the reading exceeds that value.
You can edit this value in Resources > Analyzers.
How it Works:
Consider two different analyzers with different peg settings:
-
Analyzer A: Peg value set to 10,000 ppm.
- Analyzer B: Peg value set to 100,000 ppm.
If you record an inspection reading of 25,000 ppm:
-
Using Analyzer A: Because 25,000 exceeds the 10,000 ppm threshold, Chateau applies the 10,000 ppm peg factor to the emissions calculation.
- Using Analyzer B: Because 25,000 is below the 100,000 ppm threshold, Chateau applies the standard correlation factor instead.
Note: Peg values assigned to specific analyzers will override the peg value settings in your emission model. To ensure your reports are accurate, please verify these values are set up correctly for every analyzer in your fleet.
