M21 and AVO Workflow, Repair Attempts, and Retests

M21 Workflow

1. Check out your tours.
    
2. Connect to an analyzer, and enter calibrations, confirmations, and drifts when appropriate.
    
3. Start a tour and adjust sorting preferences when necessary.
    
4. Tap the first tag on the list. In the Quick View, tap the PPM reading on the top to set the background. You can alternatively tap the 3-dot icon next to the inspection options to open the Action Menu, and tap Set Background. Update the background later if it changes significantly.
    
5. Confirm the inspection type. If you are performing M21, tap Monitor and start monitoring with your probe.
    
6. Monitor until the countdown ends. You may trigger a deflection if the PPM is over a certain threshold. Just follow the instructions to monitor the point of the highest emission if this is the case. If you can get a PPM reading, but are unable to fully comply with M21 requirements due to conditions such as icing over, document the M21 Variance. Tap Save when done.
    
7. Add a comment on the Input Inspection Details screen when necessary, and tap Save when done.
    
8. If it is a passing inspection, you will automatically be taken to the next tag.

In the Event of a Leak

9. If the inspection failed, the Input Leak Details screen will appear. You are required to select an emission point. Adding leak images, repair attempts, comments and drips per minute can be optional in Chateau, but your site-specific requirements may compel you to do so.
    
10. For adding leak images, tap Add Leak Image(s) to open and activate your handheld’s camera, if one is available. After capturing the image, you can use the provided markup tools to mark the leak’s location. You can add as many leak images as necessary.
     
11. Enter repair attempts and retests, if you are required to do so.
     
12. Move on to the next tag, repeat, and at the end of the session, check back in.

AVO Workflow

1. Check out your tours.
    
2. Start a tour and adjust sorting preferences when necessary.
    
3. Confirm the inspection type. If you are performing AVO, observe the component for leaking indications, and tap Done or Fail depending on your observation.
    
4. Add a comment in the Input Inspection Details screen when necessary. Tap Save when done.
    
5. If it is a passing inspection, you will automatically be taken to the next tag.
    
6. If the inspection failed, the Input Leak Details screen will appear. You are required to select an emission point. Adding leak images, repair attempts, and comments can be optional in Chateau, but your site-specific requirements may compel you to do so.

Non-Tour Inspections

To perform an inspection on a component not in your assigned tours.

1. Use the search bar to look up the component’s tag number.
    
2. Tap the tag number to enter the Quick View, and confirm the component is connect.
    
3. Confirm the details in the inspection options. M21 is the default, but you can switch the inspection type by tapping the downward chevron icon.
    
4. Select an InspectionWhy and tap Monitor, or Done or Fail depending on whether you are performing M21 or AVO.
    
5. Enter inspection details, leak details, add attempts and retests when required.

Adding Attempts and Retests

You can add attempts by following the prompts after a leak was found, or filtering for leaking components in the tour after you moved on to other components and came back to perform repairs.

1. If you are following the prompts after a leak was found, tap Input Repair Attempt on the Input Leak Details.
    
2. If you are filtering for leaking components in the tour, tap the tag number after filtering, and then tap the 3-dot icon next to the inspection options to open the Action Menu and select Attempt Repair.
    
3. Enter the technician name, date and time, and select a repair method in the picklist.
    
4. Confirm the information and tap Save.
    
5. If you wish to perform a retest, tap Yes in the retest prompt following completion of the repair attempt, and follow the standard M21, AVO, or OGI procedures for the retest.
