When it comes to Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC), there are two key areas of concern:

1. Technician Performance: This includes the specific work output, urgency, and care with which each technician performs their duties.

2. Site Management: This focuses on how well the site is managed, including the organization of tasks and the quality of the data available to technicians.

Chateau is designed to help you assess and track each of these areas independently.

Traditionally, LDAR managers have relied on end-of-period reviews to evaluate technician performance. However, this approach has significant drawbacks:

• Delayed Feedback: By the time performance issues are identified, it may be too late to provide timely and effective feedback.

• Overwhelming Data: Reviewing large amounts of data at once can be overwhelming, making it difficult to pinpoint specific areas of concern.

Chateau overcomes these challenges by enabling site managers to:

• Set Performance and Compliance Parameters: Define your expectations in advance.

• Conduct Immediate, Overnight Audits: Assess technician performance against established standards on a daily basis.

• Provide Next-Day Feedback: Quickly address any deviations from expected performance.

• Document the Feedback Process: Maintain a structured record of all feedback given.

Step-by-Step Guide to QA/QC in Chateau

Step 1: Establish Pace Settings

1. Navigate to Porches > Pace Settings.

2. Input your site-specific settings. This will be the number of M21 inspections you want to set as a “we need to take a look” level. Any series of M21 inspections occurring faster than these settings will be reported to the Excess Inspection porch for your review. AVO inspections are not counted in this analysis.

3. Activate the Excess Inspection Audit: Porches > Audit Settings > search for “Excess.”

4. Turn on the Excess Inspection Audit.

5. Add emails.

6. Chateau will automatically audit against these settings every night.

7. Deviations will be posted to the Administrator’s Porch, and email notifications can be sent.

8. Feedback can be provided and recorded whenever a deviation occurs.

9. Download and print all results of these deviations at any time via Porches > Administrator’s Porch > Excess Inspections > Historical Porch.

Step 2: Ensure Inspection Integrity

1. Search for “inspection integrity” in Porches > Audit Settings.

2. Select the porch audits you wish to enable.

3. Assign email notifications, if needed.

4. Audits and notifications will be automatically generated.

Step 3: Data Quality Monitoring

1. Search for “data quality” in Porches > Audit Settings.

2. Select the porch audits you wish to enable.

3. Assign email notifications, if needed.

Step 4: Leak Monitoring

1. Search for “leaks” in Porches > Audit Settings.

2. Choose which porch audits to enable, such as:

   • Late Leak Response

   • Leaks Closed Without Passing PPM

   • Zero Leaks with >= 75% Inspections

3. Assign email notifications, if needed.

Step 5: Missed Events Monitoring

1. Search for “missed” in Porches > Audit Settings.

2. Select the relevant porch audits to enable.

3. Assign email notifications, if needed.

Step 6: Reactivated Components Tracking

1. Navigate to Porches > MOC Porch.

2. Ensure all items are cleared from the Current Porch.

3. Open the Historical Porch.

4. Set the Start Date to when the database became active and the End Date to today.

5. Select Search.

6. Filter for Reactivated Components.

Step 7: M21 Variance Monitoring

1. Go to Help > Knowledge Base and search for “variance.”

2. Follow the provided procedure.

Step 8: Requesting the Work Performed Feature (Beta)

1. Go to Help > Ask Question.

2. Enter your email address.

3. In the Question box, type: “Please turn on the Work Performed feature for our database: [include your database name from the top of your Chateau Screen].”

4. Once activated:

   • Open the Work Performed Picklist: Settings > Picklists > Inspections > Work Performed.

   • Teach your technicians the significance of each task.

   • Frequently print the Work Performed Report: Report > Work Performed > Enter Date Range > Select Technicians > View Report.
