Retrieving phxApp Logs

For Android handheld:

  1. Connect Android handheld to computer via USB cable.

  2. Open File Explorer.

  3. Open the handheld’s files in File Explorer.

  4. Navigate to the My Documents/LDARTools/Logs folder.

  5. Locate the log files from the day in question.

    a. Format for phx42 logs will be the following, with the year, month, and day in question in the file name:

    • phx42-XXXX_YYYYMMDD_status.log

    • phx42-XXXX_YYYYMMDD_reading.csv

    • YYYYMMDD_PhxApp.log

    b. Format for phx21 logs will be the following, with the year, month, and day in question in the file name:

    • phx21-XXXX_YYYYMMDD.log

    • YYYYMMDD_PhxApp.log

  6. Copy and paste the files to your desktop and attach to the reported issue.

 

For Windows handheld:

  1. Open the handheld’s File Explorer.

  2. Navigate to Documents\LDARtools\Logs.

    a. Format for phx42 logs will be the following, with the year, month, and day in question in the file name:

    • phx42-XXXX_YYYYMMDD_status.log

    • phx42-XXXX_YYYYMMDD_reading.csv

    • YYYYMMDD_PhxApp.log

    b. Format for phx21 logs will be the following, with the year, month, and day in question in the file name:

    • phx21-XXXX_YYYYMMDD.log

    • YYYYMMDD_PhxApp.log

  3. To get files from the handheld to the reported issue, you can upload directly from the handheld to the reported issue by logging in to the Customer Portal on the handheld, emailing yourself the files from the handheld, or transferring via USB (if allowed by IT) from the handheld to your computer.
