Leaks FAQ

This is an ever-evolving list so if you have a question about leaks, please ask in the form below
or email support@ldartools.com and we will add it to the list (and answer it!)

Can I add data to a closed leak?

Yes! Along the top of the leak record are buttons to add attempts and inspections.

  • Note: The attempt or inspection added must be between the initial leak date or time stamp and the Leak Closed Date.
What time do Leak Alerts go out?

Currently Leak Alerts go out in the early morning hours, around the same time your porch audits run.

Can I manually close a leak?

Yes! See How to Manually Close a Leak.

Does a failing DOR ReTest create a new leak?

No, a failing DOR retest will just link to the existing open DOR record.

The only exception is if the failed regulation isn’t already included on that DOR. For example, if the regulation was added to the component after the DOR was opened, or if the new failing PPM reading exceeds a threshold for a regulation not previously tied to the DOR.
