Retrieving Automatic Backups

Sharing from the Handheld

1. In the Files app on your handheld device, navigate to:
    
   • Internal storage\\Documents\LDARtools\Backups
     
      
2. Locate the ZIP backup file. The filename follows this convention: YYYY_MM_DD_HH_MM_SS-[Database Name]-[Type of Backup].zip. 
    
   • Example: 2025_10_29_11_05_20-ChateauTraining-Auto.zip is the automatic backup file for the ChateauTraining database, created on 10/29/2025 at 11:05:20.
     
      
3. Tap the three-dot menu to the right of the filename, select Share, and send the file to support@ldartools.com.

If sharing from the handheld is not feasible::

1. Connect the tablet to your PC or laptop with a Micro-USB cable.
    
2. In File Explorer on your computer, navigate to:
    
   • This PC"Device Name"\handheld name\Documents\LDARtools\Backups
      
3. Find the files matching the naming convention in step 2 of the sharing from the handheld instruction.
    
4. Copy the requested files to your desktop and send the file to support@ldartools.com.
