Use the instructions below to assign roles to a new database user or edit an existing user’s roles

Method 1 – Assign New Database Only
- Click Users in the left menu to open the User grid.
- Search for the user.
- Check the box in the user’s row.

At top-right, click the Database icon.
- Search and/or select the desired database(s).
- Click Assign Roles.
- Toggle on the desired roles.
- Click Finish.
Method 2 - Assign New Database or Edit Existing
- Click Users in the left menu to open the User grid.
- Search for the desired user.
- Click the user’s name in the grid to open the User Details.
- Click the Assignment tab.
- For a new database, click Add Assignment.
- To edit roles in an existing database, check the box in the desired database’s row, then click Edit Assignment. Skip steps 5 and 6.
- Search and/or select the desired database(s).
- Click Assign Roles.
- Toggle on/off the desired roles.
- Click Finish.
Method 3 - Assign New User to Database or Edit Existing User
- Click Databases on the left menu to open the Database grid.
- Search for the desired database.
- Click the database name in the grid to open the Database Details.
- For a new user to the database, click Add Assignment.
- To edit roles of an existing user, check the box in the desired user’s row, then click Edit Assignment. Skip steps 4 - 6.
- Click Users at top to search by user.
- Search and/or select the desired user(s).
- Click Assign Roles.
- Toggle on/off the desired roles.
- Click Finish.
