The New Component Porch is for keeping track of newly added components. It’s divided into two sections: Current and Historical
- Current - shows the suggested new components that are pending approval.
- Historical - query for components that were added and approved or rejected within the specified date range.
Current New Component Porch
Within the Current New Component Porch, you can edit any property of the suggested new component, including ActiveWhy.
- Select one or more rows you wish to edit.
- Click Edit / Multi-Edit Selected.
- If you wish to edit the ActiveWhy, click the pencil icon under Profile, then you can select a different Profile Change Why.
To approve or reject new components, use the Approve Selected or Reject Selected buttons. You will have the option to add comments before saving the action. Once approved or rejected, they will move to the Historical New Component Porch.
When you approve any new components, you will be presented with the option to Run Rules on Component(s) now or Skip Rules. Running the rules only needs to be done if you want the schedule to update immediately, otherwise the rules will run new components overnight.
- Note on Components Added with a TUx Profile
- If a component was added with a TUx profile, it will appear in the Current New Component Porch with a TUx profile assigned. To update the profile to active, select the component row(s) and click Edit / Multi-Edit Selected. In the profile field, set the profile to Remove TUx. This will clear the TUx designation and set the component to an active profile status.
Historical New Component Porch
Within the Historical New Component Porch, you can specify a start date and an end date, click Search, and see all new components rejected or approved within that date range.
Note: Please be aware, if there are a significant number of records in that date range, the grid might take a while to load.
You can use the LastPPM column on the porch to confirm the technician who added the new component performed an M21 inspection on it.
