Field Events in Chateau Mobile are specialized reporting tools designed to help technicians document specific observations and anomalies encountered during their rounds. These features allow users to flag issues such as missing tags, unknown components, or routing errors, as well as provide reasons when a component cannot be monitored. By utilizing Field Events, technicians ensure that important field conditions are recorded accurately, enabling administrators to track these items for necessary follow-up and resolution.
To get alerts for or view any reported Field Events, the associated Porch Audit must be turned on in Settings>Audit Settings. See Field Event Audits, Audit Settings and Administrator’s Porch Processing for more information on using the audits for these features.

For reporting missing tags during routine monitoring. This feature is ideal for sites that replace missing tags with tags using the same tag number. This will enable the Administrator to track these missing tags as new tags are stamped out and then returned to be hung in the field. As an alternative, the technician who identifies the missing tag CAN hang a new, different tag number on the component and then edit the tag number to the new number in Chateau Mobile. | Component Prompts |
Displays tailored messages to the technician in Chateau Mobile based on specific component properties. Use the query builder to specify components for which you want a message displayed to the technician when they first open that component in the handheld, then type out the message you want them to see. Components must satisfy all criteria in the assignment for the message to display. For example, if you have CVS=Yes and UTM=Yes, a component will have to be both CVS and UTM to have this prompt assigned to it. If you wish to have a prompt on components that are either CVS or UTM, you should make two separate assignments: one for CVS only, and one for UTM only. |
