To get the most use out of Chateau and our Knowledge Base with your web browser, please see to the following:
Ctrl+F: A keyboard shortcut allowing a user to find or search for specific text within any article.
Incognito Mode: Allows a user to access two databases in Chateau simultaneously.
- Note: Cookies, site data, and all form inputs (including usernames and passwords) are not saved in Incognito Mode, so be prepared to enter user information whenever using this method.
Clear Cache:
Google Chrome |
- Click the three-dot icon in the top-right corner.
- Click Settings.
- In the Settings menu, click the Privacy and Security tab.
- Select Delete Browsing Data.
- Ensure “Cached images and files” is checked.
- (Optional) Uncheck other options like “Browsing history” if you only want to clear the cache.
- Click Delete data.

Mozilla Firefox |
- Click the three-line icon in the top-right corner.
- Click Settings.
- Select Privacy & Security from the left-side menu.
- Scroll down to the Cookies and Site Data section.
- Click Clear Data.
- Ensure “Cached Web Content” is checked.
- (Optional) Uncheck “Cookies and Site Data” if you don’t want to delete cookies.
- Click Clear.

Microsoft Edge |
- Click the three-dot icon in the top-right corner.
- Click Settings.
- In the left menu, click Privacy, search, and services.
- Click Clear browsing data. and select Choose what to clear.
- Choose a time range (e.g., “All time”).
- Ensure “Cached images and files” is checked.
- (Optional) Uncheck other items if you only want to clear the cache.
- Click Clear now.

Safari (on Mac)

- Click Safari in the top-menu bar (next to the Apple logo).
- Select Settings (or Preferences on older versions).
- Click the Privacy tab.
- Click Manage Website Data.
- Click Remove All, then confirm by clicking Remove Now.
- Note: If you don’t see this option, go to Safari > Settings > Advanced and enable “Show Develop menu in menu bar”, then choose Develop > Empty Caches from the top-menu.
