Transferring Settings from Existing to New Databases in Chateau

When onboarding multiple databases in Chateau, users have the option to set up one database and transfer its settings to all other new databases. This allows for consistent configuration across multiple databases, saving time and ensuring uniformity. To initiate this process, please contact the LDARtools Onboarding Team during the onboarding process.

Transferable Settings

The following settings can be transferred, provided the component types are the same across the databases:

  • Miscellaneous Settings Page: All configurations listed under the Miscellaneous Settings page can be transferred.

  • Sample Monitoring Settings: These can be transferred for component types matching between databases.

  • Default Deflection PPM, Dwell Time, and Default Sample Time

  • Field Event Settings: All settings, except Component Prompts, are transferable.

  • OGI Settings

  • Safety Settings: The following safety configurations can be transferred:

    • Safety Awareness Moment

    • Background Management

    • DTM Checklist

    • Alarm Code / Rally Points

    • Incident Response

    • Safety Equipment picklist values and whether the setting is enabled.

  • Simple Maintenance Checklist: Questions in the Simple Maintenance Checklist will only be transferred for component types existing in all databases. The transfer will overwrite all questions in the destination database and replace them with those from the source database, but only for the matching component types.

Non-Transferable Safety Settings:

  • Confined Space

  • LUnit Notice

Additional Transferable Settings

  • Enabled Properties

  • Chateau Mobile Fields

  • InspectionWhys

Transferring Settings Across Multiple Databases

If you are onboarding multiple databases, you can choose to configure one primary database and transfer its settings to all other databases in the same onboarding session. This is particularly useful for users who need uniform configurations across multiple facilities or locations.

This process will replicate the configurations from the primary database to the new databases, ensuring consistency and saving time.

Important Considerations:

  • Any settings that cannot be transferred will need to be manually configured in the new databases.

  • The LDARtools Onboarding Team is available to assist with both the initial setup and any subsequent transfers across multiple databases. This ensures smooth onboarding and prevents potential misconfigurations.

For questions or further assistance, please reach out to the LDARtools Onboarding Team for support throughout the process.
